Security for your belongings is our highest priority, regardless of your storage unit being indoors or outdoors. Call us on 01-5065525 for more information and advise on the best option for your storage needs.

The minimum rental period is 4 weeks. There is no limit on how long you can rent a storage unit for and you can commit to 26 or 52 weeks for an additional long term disocunt. Call us on 01-5065525 for more information about prices and discounts.

Our outdoors storage units are new and water-tight. They are shipping containers designed to be out at sea on boats. We have customers (including staff!) who store water sensitive items such as electronics and furniture with no problems, and in some cases for years.

Think about this – almost everything that’s imported into Ireland from overseas comes in via a shipping container! Clothing, furniture, domestic goods, machine parts, medicine, toys, computers, mobile phones – all start their journey in a shipping container.

If the container is kept dry inside there will be no condensation as we have ventilation in all our units. If, however someone brings wet or waterlogged items into the unit this will cause condensation issues as this water is trapped in the unit. Therefore, please ensure all your items such as washing machines and fridges/freezers are completely dry before placing them into storage.

Storebox has very few limitations on what you can store, there are obviously a few exceptions and they are obvious to see why. Our Terms & conditions outlines that you can’t store items such as explosives, fire arms, compressed oils or gases, counterfeit or stolen goods, flammable liquids and gasses. We take the security of your items and our sites very seriously and so in addition to the automatic gates and 24-hour CCTV, we provide you with a high security steel padlock which is designed to fit the doors to your storage unit.

Using the padlock provided is a condition of using our storage, however there is also space for you to add your own security padlock in addition to the one provided on the arms of the unit door if you so wish. Padlocks are provided free of charge. We just ask that you leave them inside the empty unit when you vacate.

The price of a padlock is €19.90.

When you book a unit online you can pay via our secure payment page. Alternatively, you can call and speak with one of our storage experts on 01-5065525 who can take a payment over the phone. This payment will secure your unit for the first four weeks.

We then invoice every 28 days (4 weeks) in advance and your invoice will be emailed to you in advance of the due date. Payments will then be taken automatically every 28 days (4 weeks) from the card nominated on your first payment.

You do not need to provide us notice to move out. Just tell us before your next payment is due and we will cancel the subscription. Make sure to tell us before that payment hits as we do not refund rent paid in advance.

In addition to any promotional offers we may offer occasionally,  we offer a long-term commitment discount of 10% for 26 weeks commitment and 15% for 52 weeks commitment.


If you have opted for and prepaid for a specific long-term agreement and vacate early, we are not able to refund any unused rent. If you pay for a long-term agreement every 4 weeks, any discount previously given to you will be charged to your account. 

Yes, you need insurance for the full contents inside your unit. We offer content coverage for as little as 2.99/week, for 4,000 worth of cover. The minimum coverage of €2.99/week is added for all units*.

Our coverage is tailormade for Self Storage, and will cover things a normal household insurance would not cover while your items are in storage.

It is easy to upgrade your coverage if you are storing goods that exceed the €4,000 worth of cover. Get in touch with us to make sure you have the right coverage for your values.

It is important that you declare the true value of the goods you store, and that your Contents Coverage reflects this value. The value should reflect the value if you were to buy all the items new today. If you are underinsured, it will lead to reduced settlement of any claim. Absolutely, we understand that storage needs can change over time and that’s why we offer flexible contracts allowing customers to grow or shrink their storage requirements as necessary. A phone call or email is all that’s required to enable a transfer.
